C-1000 (Buffered C) is a buffered, sustained release Vitamin C supplement with 250 mg bioflavonoids. Vitamin C is a water soluble nutrient well known for its vital role in the immune system. It is also a highly effective antioxidant that can protect the body's cells and molecules from damage by free radicals and reactive oxygen molecules generated during normal metabolism and exposure to environmental stressors. This product supplies a sustained release Calcium Ascorbate, a buffered form of Vitamin C that is bioavailable and non-acidic. Calcium Ascorbate will not contribute to excess stomach acidity or irritation in sensitive persons. Calcium Ascorbate is synthesized from a combination of Ascorbic Acid and Calcium Carbonate to form Calcium Ascorbate. It is also enhanced with Bioflavonoids, which work synergistically with Vitamin C.*
